Items You Need
1. Decal: Make sure you have the decal you want to apply.
2. Surface: Ensure the surface where you’re applying the decal is clean and dry.
3. Water and mild soap solution: You may need this to clean the surface.
4. Squeegee or credit card: This is used to press the decal onto the surface.
5. Masking tape or painter’s tape: To help position the decal accurately.
6. Scissors or craft knife: To trim the decal if needed.
7. Spray bottle with water: To moisten the decal’s adhesive side.
8. Paper towels or a clean cloth: To wipe off excess water and air bubbles.
Steps to apply a decal:

Prepare the Surface:
- Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Use a mixture of water and mild soap to remove any dirt, grease, or residue, and then dry it with a clean cloth.

Position the Decal:
- Use masking tape or painter's tape to temporarily hold the decal in the desired position. You can use a level or measuring tape to ensure it's straight and centered.

Peel Off the Backing:
- Carefully peel the backing paper from the decal, exposing the adhesive side. Be cautious not to touch the adhesive surface to avoid transferring oils from your skin.

Moisten the Decal:
- Lightly spray the adhesive side of the decal and the surface with the water from the spray bottle. This will create a slight lubrication to help with repositioning.

Apply the Decal:
- Carefully place the decal onto the surface, aligning it with the taped position. Start from one edge and gently smooth the decal onto the surface, working from one side to the other.

Use a Squeegee
- Use a squeegee or credit card to press out any air bubbles and excess water from under the decal. Start from the center and work your way towards the edges, applying even pressure

Remove the Transfer Tape (if applicable)
- Some decals come with a clear transfer tape on top. If your decal has this, gently peel it off at a 45-degree angle, making sure the decal remains adhered to the surface.

Trim Excess (if needed):
- Use scissors or a craft knife to trim any excess decal material that extends beyond the edges of the surface.

Smooth Out and Final Adjustments
- After removing air bubbles and ensuring the decal is properly adhered, give it a final pass with the squeegee to ensure a smooth and secure bond.

Let It Dry:
- Allow the decal to dry for a few hours or as per the manufacturer's recommendations. This allows the adhesive to fully bond with the surface.
